Cebollas and Chimichangas & Zoloft
The Vortex Theatre presents two plays by Latinx playwrights at the Wells Fargo Theatre in the National Hispanic Cultural Center October 10-26.
Cebollas by New Mexican playwright Leonard Madrid is the story of 3 sisters who take a road trip from Albuquerque to Denver, carrying a very unusual cargo. Directed by Rachel Dodd and featuring DeAnna Gonzales, Roxy Tapia and Maria Teresa Herrera.
Chimichangas & Zoloft by Fernanda Coppel
This raunchy and irreverent comedy examines the search for happiness and the mysteries of sexuality through the eyes of two brazen teenagers. Directed by Miguel Martinez and featuring Mariah Montoya, Banx Tenorio, Ama Zathura, Valentin Guereque, and Santi Cuevas. (This play is for mature audiences, please.)
The plays alternate, with Cebollas opening on October 10 and Chimichangas and Zoloft opening October 11.
