Youth Theatre and Box this June!
Join students from around Albuquerque in a
two-week theatre experience for ages 10 thru 18.
Theatre Artists from the Vortex will guide the theatrical
journey for a thrilling two weeks, culminating in a staged production.
Mondays to Fridays
June 10, 2024 -- June 22, 2024
Morning session: 9:30 to 11:30
Afternoon session: 12:00 to 2:00
(Supervised lunch period in-between)
Mornings will include activities to build ensemble and skills!
Afternoons will focus on a production of Box by Lindsay Price, with performances on June 21, 6:30 pm and June 22, 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm
$75.00 for the morning sessions
$50 for the afternoon work with Box
$100 for both morning & afternoon sessions*

Talk-backs with directors and cast - At least once during every production run, we offer a chance for audience members to meet the actors and directors and discuss the script and performance.

Training for volunteers - we are always looking for assistance. We can teach you how to work the box office, paint and/or build sets, costumes and props, and run the light or sound equipment during a performance. Or learn acting, stage managing, directing or publicity in one of our classes.

Wrinkle Writing - This program teaches students at any level how to use their personal experiences to create a performance piece, teaches educators how to use drama as a tool to promote and enhance literacy and connection, and provides information about production and performance.
