Education at the Vortex
The Vortex celebrates the learner, maker and appreciator in each of us. We are committed to breaking down barriers to ensure access and equity for all. We use theatre to promote compassion and inspire new ways of connecting.
-
Talk-backs with directors and cast - At least once during every production run, we offer a chance for audience members to meet the actors and directors and discuss the script and performance.
-
Training for volunteers - we are always looking for assistance. We can teach you how to work the box office, paint and/or build sets, costumes and props, and run the light or sound equipment during a performance. Or learn acting, stage managing, directing or publicity in one of our classes.
-
Acting camps/workshops for young actors - The Vortex offers yearly camps and workshops for children ages 7 - 17.
-
Classes - Acting, stage management, improv, audition techniques - all these classes and more. See the full list.
